SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR SEP 2010 – AUG 2011

PLEASE CHECK YOUR E-MAIL AND CHURCH MAILBOX OFTEN FOR PAPERS--THE EVENT RESPONSE FORMS HAVE ALL THE DETAILS FOR EACH EVENT. PLEASE RETURN THE FORM WHETHER OR NOT YOU CAN ATTEND!!! THE CHURCH’S POLICY STATES THAT NO YOUTH MAY ATTEND AN EVENT WITHOUT A SIGNED FORM. YOU MUST TURN IN THE FORM IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND!!!

The Senior High Youth Group is for youth in grades 9 through 12.  A combination of fun, learning, service and working experiences help the youth grow in their relationship with God and each other.   Here is a listing of our events:

Sunday, February 4 - Souper Bowl for Caring - collect donations in soup pots at the close of Worship (goes to various agencies that are part of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches).  We raised $308.62 for Lehigh County Conference of Churches.
Friday, February 16 - HELP IS NEEDED FOR THIS!!! Go to Lehigh County Conference of Churches and Allentown Food Bank, drop off food collection and tour food bank, drop off Souper Bowl money collection and tour the Conference of Churches including Daybreak.
Fri, Feb 16 to Sun, Feb 18 - Youth Quake
Saturday, Feb 24 - Junior High leaves super early for snow tubing--Senior High will join them and have the option of snow tubing or we may get a group package for snowboarding (including lesson).  Skiing may also be an option but our choices will depend on number of youth who sign up.  Both groups will hang out in the lodge together with a huge table of goodies to share (Elementary group also -- they had to cancel their January tubing trip due to lack of snow).
Friday, March 30 - Make Easter candy, go bowling
Saturday, April 7 - Help with Sunday School egg hunt, deliver candy basket to shutins and Jenny's Country Manor, go to Sittler's for miniature golf and/or driving range (if weather is bad, maybe go to a moview)
Friday, April 13 to Sunday, April 15 - Fundraiser: Coke Wagon at Wal-Mart
May TBA - Fundraiser: Chicken dinner/raffle? Also if 16 and over, want to do Dorney Park fundraiser May - October?
Sunday, May 20 - Participate in Worship (offering, children's message, readings, songs), have lunch at church then go to Ozzy's Sports Fun Center (with Junior High Youth Group)
Saturday June 2 and Sunday, June 3 - Church picnic provides two opportunities - 1) fundraiser: organize games and 2) wonderful opportunity for you and your family to help make this a success by volunteering to work a shift and/or making a donation
Sunday, June 17 - Father's Day -- distribute gifts to men in the congregation
Friday, July 6 to Saturday, July 7 - Rock-a-thon for World Hunger
Thursday, July 19 to Sunday, June 22 - Regional Youth Event -- Jeff Joseph has all the information you need!!
Summer TBA - Fundraiser: Car Wash?
Saturday, August 4 to Monday, August 6 - Weekend retreat including whitewater rafting and paintball
August 6 to August 10 - Volunteer to help with Vacation Bible School
