TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR SEP 2009 – AUG 2010

PLEASE CHECK YOUR E-MAIL AND CHURCH MAILBOX OFTEN FOR PAPERS--THE EVENT RESPONSE FORMS HAVE ALL THE DETAILS FOR EACH EVENT.  PLEASE RETURN THE FORM WHETHER OR NOT YOU CAN ATTEND!!!  THE CHURCH’S NEW POLICY CLEARLY STATES THAT NO YOUTH MAY ATTEND AN EVENT WITHOUT A SIGNED FORM.  YOU  MUST TURN IN THE FORM IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND!!!

Sunday, September 13     Kick-off event–lunch at CiCi’s & planning meeting

 

Saturday, October 3        Philadelphia Zoo and Dave & Buster’s

 

Sunday, October 18        Awesome job helping to make Children’s Sabbath

                                      extra-special!!  Thanks to all volunteers! 

 

Sunday, October 25        6 p.m. hayride then we sponsor the Haunted Rooms

                                                                              

Sun, Nov 8, 15, 22          Everyone is invited to take tags from the Giving Tree

 

Sunday, November 8       Please support the congregation's basket bingo party –

                                      bake sale fundraiser at the event—see Marci!!

 

Friday, November 20       Hang out with and help the Elementary Youth Group – includes pizza supper

 

Saturday, November 28   Service project at local food pantry, mystery lunch, decorate church for Christmas 

 

Sunday, November 29       Deadline for gifts to be brought in and placed by the tree

 

Sunday, December 13     Birthday party for Jesus--sign up for covered dish food

item to share – Senior High will run the bingo portion of this event then have holiday fun event after the birthday party (including gift exchange)

 

Saturday, January 9         Bake for fellowship, Worship rehearsal if needed, and play video games & rock band – then go to Bounce U

 

Sunday, January 10         Participate in Worship Service and host fellowship

 

Saturday, Feb 6               Join other youth groups to go snow tubing—will try to  

(snow/rain date Feb 20)   include snow boarding/skiing option

 

Sunday, February 7         Souper Bowl of Caring collection

 

Fri, Feb 12-Sun, Feb 14  Youth Quake

 

Sunday, March 21           Chicken dinner fundraiser

(TENTATIVE DATE!!)

 

Friday, March 26             Easter basket service project – make candy at Waldrons

                                      then go bowling

 

Saturday, April 3             Help run Easter egg hunt, deliver Easter baskets to shut-

                                      ins at Jenny’s, go to movies

 

Sunday, April 25             “Rocking” day – tour Crystal Cave, climb boulders at Blue Rocks, enjoy a campfire

 

Sunday, May 2, 9, 16      Basket raffle fundraiser

 

Sunday, May 9                Hand out carnations for Mother’s Day

 

Sunday, May 23              Participate in Worship Service then go to Ozzy’s  (Junior

                                      High will join us for Ozzy’s)

 

SUMMER TBA              Senior High will go as a group to help out at a Miracle League game when Jonathan Smith plays

 

Saturday, June 5              Go to diner for breakfast, pick strawberries & smash them for use at the SCS picnic

 

Sat-Sun, June 5-6            We encourage everyone to help at the Church picnic!

 

Fri-Sun, June 25-27         TENTATIVE—CANNOT BOOK THIS UNTIL FEBRUARY – Weekend retreat in Wildwood

 

Fri, July 16-Sat, July 17   Rock-a-thon for World Hunger – collect pledges for  World Hunger, stay up all night in a rocking chair watching movies, playing video games & rock band, playing board games, and learning about World Hunger

 

Sunday, July 25               Entire congregation invited to join youth groups for Iron Pigs game

 

Sun, Aug 1-Sat, Aug 7     Mission trip in Pittsburgh (includes 8^th graders)

 

Sr High shut-in mailings:  September, December, March, June
