A Message from Pastor Ray

SEPTEMBER 2010

Dear Christian Friends,

During worship on August 8th, we were privileged to experience a very special mission trip, through the eyes and voices of our Sr. High Youth and adults who participated in it. After a week in Pittsburgh, our members, who were involved once again in what is called the Pittsburgh Project, shared with us what that week was all about.

We are excited to hear of their efforts to assist others in need, putting their faith into action in the Pittsburgh area. How wonderful it is to know that those who made the trip not only gave of their time and talents, but gained much themselves, in terms of their learning and growing. They built relationships as they worked on homes, and it is not hard to imagine what a valuable and unforgettable experience it has been.

We rejoice whenever and wherever God’s love is shared, and these young people and adults are to be commended for their service. We encourage them to continue living and serving faithfully, as they who have been blessed in many ways can bring blessings to others. Our thanks to all who shared in this special week, and especially for their sharing with us, to encourage us in our own faith journeys.
